LACMA visit and Rain Room
This weekend we went to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). We are members and couple months ago we purchased tickets to see the Rain Room exhibit before it concludes on January 22nd. Our reservations were for yesterday at 11am. We got to the museum early and looked around. We got to see Metropolis in action (finally!) as well as the Renaissance and Reformation exhibit. Included in the photos below is a photo of a portrait from the latter of Kaspar Hedio (1494-1552), one of the leading Protestant theologians. It is included because I burst into laughter upon seeing it, exclaiming in a whisper, “He looks sketchy as hell!”
Also, yes, I totally struck a Hamilton pose in the Rain Room. The Rain Room, by the way, is an exhibit where it rains from the ceiling into the grated floor. The tech in the room detects where you are standing, so you can walk directly into the rain and not get wet, because the rain shuts off directly above you. It’s the absolute coolest.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
